Cen-Tech digital postal scales - model 95069

    I've already had one bad experience with a Cen-Tech product and was mentally prepared for another. Fortunately, Harbor Freight has a liberal return policy and will give you a refund for any reason, or no reason at all. Believe me I know. I've taken quite a few things back to them over the years. That's the trouble with buying cheap (inexpensive) stuff. You don't really know what you've got sometimes until you get it home. The other Cen-Tech product I bought was also a set of digital scales. I've been wanting to get a set for years and finally decided to buy one so I could weigh my tomato crop this year. That's not all I'll use it for. It's great for weighing oversized letters and packages for postage as well.

    $39.99 at Harbor Freight but at least this digital scale works, and it works well. Straight out of the box I tested it with a known weight of 396 grams and it was completely accurate. It's extremely sensitive, attractive to look at and small enough to store just about anywhere until needed (less that ten inches wide). This isn't really a review per se. I haven't owned it long enough to have any firm opinion on how reliable it is, or if it can maintain it's accuracy level in the long term. I do have to say I'm pretty impressed with it at the moment though.
