Illuminated magnifying headlight lamp.
because I'm getting old...
I'm trying to remember where I got this thing, but I'm not having much luck. There aren't any markings on it. No manufacturer's stamp. No initials, no serial numbers, no nothing. Even when I opened the battery compartment (it takes four AAA batteries for the two head lights on either side) there was nothing to indicate who had made this product. Isn't that a little unusual? I thought everything was marked these days. As if it were important, I think I got it at Harbor Freight. I could very easily be wrong on that. A quick check of the Harbor Freight website didn't turn up anything, but that doesn't mean squat. They could have sold it in the past but discontinued it.
A few years ago I bought a small hand-held magnifying glass at Office Depot for a couple bucks. I bought it mainly to help me read fine print. My definition of "fine print" has widened considerably as I've gotten older. My eyesight is still fairly decent but there are times when I need a little help. It's gotten more difficult to read the classified ads in the daily paper, for instance. Either that or the print has gotten smaller. I can still read them unassisted, but using a magnifying glass makes it easier and puts less strain on my eyes. It's a bit awkward holding up a magnifying glass with one hand while flipping through the newspaper with the other. The hands-free head lamp seemed like the next logical step.
